Our new morning care program
Dear PS 295 Caregivers,
We are excited to share that PS 295 will be launching a new Morning Care Program for students in 3K through 5th grade starting in September 2025. This program will offer families a safe, structured childcare option before the school day begins and will officially start on Monday, September 8th.
The Morning Care Program will run Monday through Friday (when school is open), with drop-off beginning at 7:00 AM. Please note that students must arrive no later than 8:00 AM, as no children will be admitted after that time. This program is designed as a childcare service, and as such will not provide an academic program. Students will participate in breakfast, and supervised activities to help ease into their day in a calm and welcoming environment.
The monthly cost for participation will be $150 per child. However, if enough families express interest, we may be able to reduce the fee to $100 per month. In order to plan accordingly, we are asking families to complete a brief interest survey. This will help us determine the number of participants and finalize logistics such as staffing and space.
In July, we will follow up with an official letter to all interested families that outlines the final details of the program and opens the registration process.
